In many applications today, electronic controls are used in machine and plant construction where the movement and positioning of hydraulic cylinders must also be controlled. There, the integration of a displacement encoder into the cylinder makes a lot of sense due to the following advantages::
- High operational safety, sensitive electronic components are protected in the cylinder from external influences.
- Low assembly effort, no additional mechanics necessary. This results in a simpler design and thus a reduction in overall costs in conjunction with higher operational safety.
- Small installation space due to integration of the displacement transducer. Versions with eyes on both sides are also available!
